Your first step into the world of handmade footwear. This 1-day, hands-on experience introduces you to the core foundations of shoemaking — from material selection and pattern tracing to basic cutting and machine sewing.
Led by Brandon inside the Common Ground Studio, this day is all about discovery: learning the tools, understanding the craft, and building your confidence as you start your first shoe project.
You’ll Learn:
• How sneakers are constructed from start to finish
• The tools and materials used in professional shoemaking
• Cutting and tracing patterns
• Introduction to sewing machines and assembly setup

• All tools and practice materials
• Step-by-step instruction
• Small group or 1:1 setting for maximum attention
• Break for lunch (you may bring your own or visit nearby restaurants)

A: Currently limited to one student per session to ensure full instruction time, but group sessions will open soon.
